Instant coffee!!!!!

Soooooooooo…..

Why in 2015 am I just finding out about instant coffee????! I LOVE coffee and I’m just finding out about it. I love coffee so much I had even asked for a coffee maker for Christmas 😳. I honestly always thought you needed a coffee maker to make coffee. That goes to show how much I know about it,  LOL. Does that make me a real coffee fan or no?? Anyways, I discovered it at my granny’s house this past Sunday in the cabinet and as much as they drink coffee over there I don’t know how I missed the fact that they always drink it but never used a coffee maker. Then, I read on the coffee label that it was instant. I was sold and knew I wanted to try some ASAP.

This evening, my boyfriend stopped by the store to pick up a few things and I always text him the things I need if I need something and if it’s something he hasn’t gotten before I always send a picture so he can get it right because otherwise it’s no telling what I will end up with. I was curious to try this “instant coffee” so I sent him pictures of it and some creamer to go along with it. He gets it right! I was elated from that alone and I had been craving coffee today so bad that I Instanteously  made a cup for myself. It was nothing short of amazing. It was the real thing. My night had been made and it only took about a minute and thirty seconds to do so along with my boyfriend getting the things I asked him to get right from the store.

This instant coffee for sure brought an instant smile to my face…:-)

One of my happy places, good night.

New hair, new job, new outlook on life.

Hello and happy Monday!!!!!

My 25th birthday is vastly approaching and for the most part, honestly, I haven’t been all that excited about it. For the past few months I had kind of been in a slump…being a new mom and all has its up & down days for sure but it’s still the greatest thing in life. EVER. Anyways, I was feeling not so good about my birthday because for one, I didn’t have a job. Two, being in the house 90% of the time with a newborn can become a lot..especially with a hard working boyfriend who spends most of his days working to provide for the baby & I. Nevertheless, I’m so grateful and thankful that I’m able to stay at home with my baby girl. Within the past couple of months I began to look deep within and do a little soul searching and boooooooyyyyyy did it bring about a change in my life in every way. I began reading a couple of self help books, lots of quiet time with God, and finding positive, inspiring people on social media (Twitter, periscope, etc.) that are life coaches and in ministry. Sometimes you just have to help yourself, and encourage yourself. I saw a blatant change in my attitude towards everything and my slump/depression began to pass. Long story short, I got a new job in the last couple of weeks and I will start in the next week or so and I needed something to spice things up a little bit at home and for my new job :-). I said all of that to say patience is a virtue and learning to trust your journey and God is too. I digress.  Here’s a picture of my hair before…

  Long, boring mommy hair :-/

Now here’s my hair today….

I think this was perfect for my new job and how I’ve been feeling lately as well as for my 25th birthday coming up on 11/24!!!! Yaaaay!

First official post.

Hiiiiiiiiiii! This is my first official post. I’m excited, I’ve been wanting to start a blog for the longest. Not just for people to read but because writing is one of my favorite ways to self express. It’s easy (in a sense), free, and helps you get all of the thoughts you want to get out, out.

So..a little background on me. My name is Ambernique. I’m a mother of one beaitiful baby girl (Brooklyn Elise), a graduate of The University of Memphis and current grad student at Strayer University. I love my parents and my boyfriend and close friends. I love taking care of my daughter, she’s the absolute best thing that happened to me. I’m very family oriented and I have lots of things to talk about :-). Here I will post about first time mommy experiences, shopping,  books I am reading or want to read, life experiences, and everything else in between. I hope whoever reads my posts enjoys them!

Here’s a picture of my family. I love us.
